When reviewing MT5 trading history, some users notice that an order shows the status of Cancelled. They clearly recall placing the order and may wonder why it was never filled, or whether the system automatically deleted it. To resolve this confusion, you need to distinguish among several order statuses in MT5.

I. What does "Cancelled" mean
Per MT5 official order-status definitions, Cancelled means the order has been cancelled by the client.
The most typical scenario is that a user places a pending order and then manually deletes it due to a revised trading plan. After deletion, the order will no longer wait for the target price, yet it remains stored in the history log.
Accordingly, a "Cancelled" entry in history does not mean the record has been erased.
II. Why can I still see pending orders after deleting them
MT5 retains historical orders. Both Android and iPhone versions label deleted pending orders as Cancelled and keep them within the history section.
This allows users to look back and review previously placed orders. These records are valuable for traders reviewing their trading plans, as you can check the instrument and target price originally set.
III. Difference between Cancelled and Expired
These are two distinct statuses. MT5 marks orders manually cancelled by users as Cancelled.
If a pending order has an expiry time and is not triggered by that deadline, it may show as Expired.
When you find an unfilled order, check its exact status first. - If it reads Cancelled, recall whether you performed a deletion. - If it reads Expired, review the expiry time you configured.
IV. Why a pending order may not proceed as expected
Pending orders will only be processed once preset conditions are met.
An order may fail to execute as anticipated if its parameters violate trading requirements. MT5 logs corresponding statuses for different scenarios.
When checking historical orders, do not only focus on whether an order got filled; also review trading time, target price and status.
V. Key parameters for pending orders on Lucky Gold
For London Gold and London Silver on Lucky Gold, the minimum trading lot is 0.01 lot. Pending orders must be placed at least 200 points (equivalent to 2 US dollars) away from the prevailing market price.
If you intend to recreate a previously cancelled pending order, re-check the current market price, since market conditions may have changed substantially from when you first set the order. Do not simply reuse the old target price.
VI. How to verify when you have doubts over order status
Navigate to the MT5 history tab and check the order ticket number, trading instrument, timestamp and status.
If you still cannot identify the cause, save the order ticket number and contact the 24-hour online customer service of Lucky Gold to check your account records. The Lucky Gold APP also provides trading reports and real-time account data for you to further track order changes.
